Audience

The target audience for my project are for people who are documenting Birmingham from a Victorian view. The images giving two different views/looks at Birmingham.

Historians will find these images helpful to their work as they will be able to view different styles of victorian architecture, painting and decor. The historian will be able to scutinise the images for detailed information that would be sensitive to their vision. The images would create a then and now prospective of the area.

There is also an artistic aspect to the images as I have used Photoshop to manipulate the pictures. For the creative photographer, they will be useful because they will help in creating and generating ideas for any future work that they might be doing. The images will be along side other images so they would have to really standout, which is what an artistic photographer would be interested in.

I will be displaying the images as stock photographs on a website, but there are other ways in which I could be exhibit the photographs. I could develop these images for displaying in an art gallery, in that I would enlarge them to display as poster size. The pictures can also used in Victorian/local history magazines or webpages.
