Andrew Hobbs

 

Andrew Hobbs is a New Zealander

who has been working in London since 1992. He moved to London to take his career to the next level as London is said to be one of the fashion capital of the world. He has edited, created and directed for for some of the leading magazines in the world. Andrew has worked with some of the  biggest names in the film, music and fashion industry. The styles that he chooses tells that he has put great planning into his work; each photograph brings out a different statement about the picture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lighting plays a big part in a photograph, with the use of man made lights, the photographer has control over the particular mode or statement he wants to make. The background in this photograph is over exposed which helps in highlighting the model and what the photograher is trying to aim at. At first glance, I could easily say that the picture is about hair or clothing. There is a good balance between light and dark which helps in showcasing the model. There isn't a lot of colour in the picture and that was diliberately done by the photographer to capture a particular look. Every strand of hair and feather is delineated to create a feeling of texture.
